As for my reference to the ghetto hand swipe to wipe the water off the helmet shield. I was talking about how earlier B1Vaporhead posted about how RainX can't be used on helmet shields. I'll repost his post for you.

Hiya gang! Over 750 miles now, and right in the middle of more rain than Texas really wanted, and it's NOT fun for a beginner. After working 11 PM to 8 AM, it's a cold, wet ride on very slick roads. I wear an AGV full-face helmet, and corrective lenses to top it off. I've found it's easier and safer to lift the visor and ride with a frosty, soaked face. Even so, I eventually can't see clearly because of the whole glasses thing. I contacted AGV about using RainX on the visor, and they said "NO! Only soap and water!" So much for that idea. Maybe I should wear a wet suit and RainX my glasses?! ;)
